	Building complex substances from simpler ones

				Amino acids (dehydration synthesis)

	Breakdown of glucose to provide usable cell energy (ATP)

			Without oxygen

			Organisms poisoned by oxygen
		Aerobic
			With oxygen
Excretion
	Getting rid of liquid/nitrogenous waste
		DOES NOT INCLUDE SOLID WASTE!!!

Secretion
	Producing a substance and releasing it from the cell
		i.e. Hormones
