1. Identify the problem
	Written as a question
2. Research
	Gain new information
	See if it's already been answered
3. Hypothesis
	Statement of intent
	Never start with I believe/ I intend to prove
	Has to be testable
4. Experiment
	Test of hypothesis
	Control setup
		Under normal conditions
	Experimental setup
		Only one variable
	Constants-factors that are kept the same
5. Observe and record data
6. Organise data
	Chart
	Table
	Diagram
	Graph

7. Conclusion
	Has to be based on data
8. Repeat the Experiment
	Repeating increases validity
